Lights, Camera, Sprachen!

One of my classmates in my German class is a photographer and videographer. His latest project is a documentary about (his) life as an expatriate; which, if I’m not mistaken, is to be used as part of a corporate pack for employees having to work abroad.

I don’t really know the details of the documentary he’s filming, but I gather it relates to his experience as an expat in Basel. And one of the things that he’s decided to include in his documentary is his experience with the local language.

Naturally, there has to be a part about his German classes.

Which means….

I’m a documentary co-star!!!

I apologise for the sudden burst of immature excitement and thinly veiled vanity – I couldn’t help myself. Allow me, just this once, to bask in the warm glow of D-grade straight-to-video superstardom before my part is completely edited out of the documentary. This may be the only chance I’ll ever get.

It was all fun and good, but I honestly hope my bit will be edited out.

Shy lah.
